GETTING THE FACTS RIGHT

China's rapid development has attracted worldwide attention in recent years. The implications of various aspects of China's rise, from its expanding influence and military muscle to its growing demand for energy supplies, are being heatedly debated in the international community as well as within China. Correctly understanding China's achievements and its path toward greater development is thus crucial.

Since starting to open up and reform its economy in 1978, China has averaged 9.4 percent annual GDP growth, one of the highest growth rates in the world. In 1978, it accounted for less than one percent of the world economy, and its total foreign trade was worth $20.6 billion. Today, it accounts for four percent of the world economy and has foreign trade worth $851 billion -- the third-largest national total in the world. China has also attracted hundreds of billions of dollars of foreign investment and more than a trillion dollars of domestic nonpublic investment. A dozen years ago, China barely had mobile telecommunications services. Now it claims more than 300 million mobile- phone subscribers, more than any other nation. As of June 2004, nearly 100 million people there had access to the Internet.

Indeed, China has achieved the goal it set for itself in 1978: it has significantly improved the well-being of its people, although its development has often been narrow and uneven. The last 27 years of reform and growth have also shown the world the magnitude of China's labor force, creativity, and purchasing power; its commitment to development; and its degree of national cohesion. Once all of its potential is mobilized, its contribution to the world as an engine of growth will be unprecedented.

One should not, however, lose sight of the other side of the coin. Economic growth alone does not provide a full picture of a country's development. China has a population of 1.3 billion. Any small difficulty in its economic or social development, spread

was Chinas aquisition of Manchuria,Inner Tibet,Taiwan,Yunnan province,Xinjiang peaceful ? How do you feel about the truth about your beloved FAN QING FU MING oath being made known to nonchinese ?

I think that not only does Jack know that everything i have written about the FAN QING FU MING oath is correct I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't haken this oath himself. It is a safe assumption I believe that a thread telling the truth about the FAN QING FU MING oath would have gotten the tongs and triads attention who oaths and rituals include it. The question who do they have trying to do the damage control

I certainly did explain the FAN QING FU MING oath quite thoroughly here didn't I

This topic isn't idiotic at all. If it was idiotic you wouldn't all be so desperately trying to discredit and suppress this truth which I have uncovered and had confirmed many many times . Adding of course that is quite obvious. What also is quite obvious is the reasons that those who take this oath are so desperate to have kept under wraps. The oaths and rituals involving persecuting the QING , destroying the QING etc... that go along with the FAN QING FU MING oath make alot more sense once you understand who the QING dynasty represents in the oaths and rituals as the actual QING have very successfuilly culturalocided and genocided. over the last 100 years.Only about a dozen people can speak the [ QING ] Manchurian language now . I have come accross many times reading Chinese history books and books on the triads that the MING dynasty in this oath represents han chinese. The natural question is who does the QING dynasty represent in the FAN QING FU MING oaths and related rituals. The actual QING being nomads similar to Mongolians were and are considered by the chinese as being uncivilised FOREIGN barbarians. The hated Manchurians [ QING ] ruled China from 1644 to 1911. Now the fact that nonchinese Canadians to Chinese who have taken these oaths and rituals are represented by QING is evidenced by what they call us in cantonese LO FAN and natives HUNG FAN. LO meaning man and HUNG meaning red and FAN meaning FOREIGN uncivilised barbarian. If one doesn't believe that these terms are derogatory then try calling a chinese person WONG FAN as WONG means yellow.

No Matlock/Stinx/Noman you hopeless troll, I don't expect you to say that you believe anything. I do expect any thinking reader to easily understand what is clearly explained and obvious and that being what I have written about the FAN QING FU MING oath. Sorry troll, you lose as always as I have the truth on my side and I suspect that you secretly know it too Gary Oak

No matter if link is six years old. China only better since the link. More richer, more freedom, more choice. USA is finished and China now most important country in the world. China don`t make the wars and invasions like Western imperial countrys. China only interest in peace and prosperity. West want war and poverty.
