I claim that is a form of defeatism..an abdication of will. We must remain vigilant for there are rats that want all of you in bedlam..slaves to the system. I am a libertarian by nature. I think nothing of criticizing both sides of the spectrum. On that note I favor the conserves mostly. This incarnation isn't as dynamic as I would like on China I must say...our worst nightmare.
I am getting up in age but never felt as confident , passionately and strongly about our Country as I do know. I am quite a strong person in many ways and I don't mince my words with respect though.

I admire your tenacity, but I understand what Maggie is saying. You may believe we are being defeatist, but it`s actually realism. An acceptance that some things are beyond change. If things beyond our control can`t be changed then you concentrate on the things that affect you most and that you can actually do something about.
Don`t get me wrong, the left is a destructive force throughout the West. I will oppose their poison every chance I get. However, once a party gets power the changes between them become less and less obvious. This is the realism that only so much change is possible. Apathy, hypocrisy and corruption are indeed ingrained in the system. Keep up the good fight by all means, but don`t expect big changes though.
I'll always have room for disent till my dying breath, and I am not alone in this as there are a growing number of Canadans who are now speaking out.
we just had a big change in Canada today on an immigration issue and the use of the ME veil. All because people bothered to speak out. One could see this change happening like a wave across Europe and now on our shores. The same thing about China's influence in Europe is starting to make people there think again about their handouts..some handouts!
