pogey is a slang term for unemployment insurance...i have paid all my life.....time to belly up to the trough.........
Ok, I'll bite, you've got us all thinking it so I'll be the one to ask. What do you do for a living when you're not collecting EI?
Ha NTFL, you beat me to it
. I would`ve asked yesterday, but I didn`t know what pogey was.
Actually, I`ll change that, what do you do that you get laid-off for the winter?
ok...so to respond to both your comments here is the general story...i closed down my business in Korea in 2007 and moved back to canada to "semi-retire"........my goal was always that when i retire i would work at a golf course. (i'm a golf addict)... so i was sitting in vancouver bored to death and decided to apply on line to every golf course in Saskatchewan......one of them responded and i went to their resort to work,,,,,,it is seasonal and we get laid off in late October until late april.....i love it......during the winter we can travel and i collect unemployment.....i also do consulting in the winter for cash.......one or two ours a day for really good money......so that's basically it
Thanks Mr r Munday and yes it sounds like a good life. Answers lead to more questi ons, so what was your biz in Korea? Financial services? Capital Markets?
